Accessibility
PlainStub is a small publisher, and its readers include everyone who has to deal with a tax form. This site is built and checked against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1, at level AA.
What that means here in practice
- Every calculator input has a visible text label tied to the field.
- Every tool works by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Results are presented as ordinary text and are announced to assistive technology as they appear.
- Error messages are given in words, never by colour alone.
- Body text is set at a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- No accessibility overlay widget is installed on this site. Barriers are fixed in the pages themselves.
Reporting a barrier
If any page or tool on this site does not work with your assistive technology, or you meet a barrier of any kind, write to contact@plainstub.com and tell us the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two business days, and confirmed barriers are treated as corrections under the policy on our About page: fixed, or the affected tool is taken offline until it can be fixed.
